How can management be modelled to enhance food security entrepreneurship in rural Zambia? What must you do as a manager to produce food security entrepreneurs in the country especially that poverty and corona virus pandemic present a serious food insecurity challenge globally.
With increasing uncertainty around food production in the face of climate change and global political instability, The main season harvest has started in parts of Southern Africa, with a bumper harvest expected in South Africa, and overall good production expectations for Zambia and neighbour countries. Food security in Zimbabwe remains of major concern due to multiple stressors, including droughts and floods in a tense economic situation and a major factor that is Global Pandemic COVID-19. Localised production shortfalls are expected in areas affected by drought and floods in southern Zambia which are putting adverse effect in pandemic time.
A a Manager I would do these things to produce food security entrepreneurs in the country
Introduce The project has recruited an army of “Movers” who have created impromptu community fresh food markets using locations as diverse as public parks and closed restaurants. They place bulk orders, which are delivered by the project’s drivers at the end of each week.
In Area like Zambia although planting has taken place under generally positive agro-climatic conditions, movements of desert locusts to main seasonal production areas represent a major threat to already fragile food security situations but pandemic has caused many barriers in agro climatic condition so i will provide them a shelter base planting where they can operate safely within the limits and take maximum use of positive agro-climatic conditions.
