Was it ever one of your job duties to provide analysis with regard to Strategic Information Systems? How would you alter your report in lieu of what you have learned now? If you've never had that opportunity, what recommendations would offer now?
I would never had that opportunity to provide analysis with regard to strategic information systems.I can recommend some analysis:
Firstly, the main goal of this system is to give the organization a competitive lead.Information systems that are developed in response to the corporate plan are strategic systems.
Strategic information systems are always systems that are evolved in response to the corporate initiative. They can bring in new products, markets and different ways of doing business. They directly affect the company's competitive stance, which gives them an advantage against competitors.
*Strategic information systems planning are a big change for organizations, from planning for information systems based on the business strategy.
*Time horizon for planning changes from one to three years or more and development driven by current and future business needs rather than incremental needs of the user. Here, increasing time horizon results in poor response from the top management to the strategic information systems planning process is difficult to keep their attention for long period.
* Impact methodologies in SISP helps to create new uses of IT, besides the methods in the adaptation category are placing is objectives with organizational goals.
*Information based companies should be planned in an integrated manner by involving all the stages of lifecycle implemented to bring about the skill quality and productivity.
Hence these are some recommendations to provide analysis with regard to strategic information systems.
