Q # 2: What is treatment resistant schizophrenia? Who falls into this category?
Q # 3: Describe the differences between: schizophrenia functional outcomes, sensory-gating deficits, cognitive dysmetria, and the prodromal phase of schizophrenia.
Q # 4: Explain both the neurodevelopmental and the neurotransmission hypotheses of schizophrenia.
Q # 5: Describe briefly the history of schizophreina and how drug treatment evolved from typical to atypical antipsychotic drugs
q2) Treatment resistant schizophrenia is of such type that medicines does not works or sometimes it is non curable in nature too. The patients who is continuing treatments for this disease for more than two years and above but funnctionally fails to improve , falls in this category.
q3) Schizophrenia functional outcomes and cognitive dysmetria are more or less of similar type. In the first one , its included in the disease as the degree of problem is high and in the 2nd one degree is lower and not included in disease asusual. Cognitive dysmetria is a confusion in selecting the priority as unable to identify the same.
Sensory gating deficits is a certain type of problem where the brain automatically wipes out the unnecessary things thus prevents the brain from extra headaches. Prodomal phrase of schizophrenia is the strating stage of this disease and can be said as the pre stage before starting the acute problems like hallucinations etc or acute psychotic problems. It generally starts after puberty and stayed for two years approx and then goes to next stage.
q4) Neurodevelopmental stage are physical ones i.e. the body languages and other things related to body changed and neuromission is mental situations where it could be observed the changes occoured in a patient mentally thus how the patient speaks out or the communications level of the patient.
q5) Drug treatments started after the diagnosis and it varies greatly on the stages at which the disease got identified. If the disease is identified at the early stages then normal drugs are generally suggested but incase of later stages inmost cases patients developed psychotic problems so medicines suggested are antipsychotic drugs.
