Communities have no defined spatial or temporal extent. Using the information and studies discussed in class (e.g., Ricklefs 2008, or Brooker et al. 2009) or examples from the primary literature (peer-reviewed articles), in what context or at what scale is community ecology most useful? Does community ecology fail at any spatial or temporal scale of study? Consider the scales of study from molecular/genomic studies to research on continents or biomes, with population, community, and ecosystem ecology in the middle.
Q.1 Community ecology :- Community ecology are useful for scientific purpose as for scientist, to know or to understand about structured of community, how they changed over time. Their relationship between species and in between organism.
community is togetherness/ association or groups of people. In which their are different species, belonging from same geographical area.
their study is important because of their is conservation of endangered species, their is control of disease, here we get knowledge about interspecific competition.
Q.2.Community ecology fails because
1. their is manipulation of time by humans, 2.their is some similarities between space and time, from that there come issue of scaling .
Q.3.Genomic study belong all the fields of knowledge, of organism and ecosystem by the analysis of gene, genetics, nucleotide, genome, transcript.
1. This will increase our knowledge, related to living organisms.
2. It strength/ increase our knowledge of less well known phyla,
3. It explore/ travels through all the biomes, with holobiomes.
4. It involves Interaction between genome, people, humans and environment.
