For a successful merger or acquisition it is important that both the companies see a productive future ahead. the resources available with each company should be able to combine and make something productive. That means all the companies should have a common goal if they are joining together. Now it is the job of the people working in the organization to see it the compatibility and work coordination gets along well. If this issue will not be resolved then it may create big problem and the overall motive of the merger may be compromised.
Now in case of healthcare organization the physicians play an important role for successful merger or acquisition. They must share their knowledge and experiences with each other so that the future work will get faster and all the process is done smoothly. Infact the future of health care will depend on smaller physicians accepting to merge with large group to serve better as larger prominent group will be prominent and they can have better advantage.
Physicians can use eachother lab insturment and medical technology to get results, it will be beneficial for the society. And in somecase new people can get knowledge from more experienced professionel by assisting them in their work. This will also solve the shortage of healthcare personnel to some extent. The equipments can be utilized in a more optimized way if there is merger between two hospitals. And also they can have focused segment where in one hospital importance is given to one segment. There can be speciality centres where the treatment of a particular disease is given focus and if the doctors are connected then everyone can share their experience and knowledge for quick results.
Mostly we hear cases that there are no specialits available for attending a case and the treatment gets delayed. So by merger of hospitals this issue could be resolved as we can have multitasking doctors. The compentation could also be good if groups merged with each other.
In all these case the physicians play major role as they are the people who will be working with eachother. All the policies, benefits should be decided so that everyone gets benefit from it.
