Women today are paid, on average, a percentage of every dollar paid to men. This percentage has risen over the years, but pay between genders is still not equal. Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act:
This act was passed in 2009, by US President 'Barack Obama'. The main motive of this act is to finish the age or gender discrimination in the employment.
The agenda of this act is to ensure that employees pay practices are not discriminated and to keep the records that are needed to prove the faireness of pay decision.
This law ensure that an unlaw employment practice occurs when:-
-a particular become subject to the decision.
-a specific person is affected by the application of decision.
-a discriminated decision or compensation towards a specific employee.
The other ways that might be government use to protect against gender discrimination in the workplace are:-
1).Before the joining of employees, educate or aware them towards the gender discrimination in the workplace.
2).Take strict and immediate action to the every complaint.
3).Start from yourself and check your own consciousness towards them.
4).Create equality in the organization.
The three branches of government that work together to avoid the gender discrimination in the workplace can take some measures, such as:-
-define the age limit.
-specify the family status and martial status.
-record of offenses.
