Expert Solution

Charecteristic of A normal distribution:- Here, are the the characteristics of a normal distribution.

Symmetric :--A normal distribution is perfectly symmetrical around its center. That is, the right side of the center is a mirror image of the left side. There is also only one mode, or peak, in a normal distribution.

Contineous :--- Normal distributions are continuous and have tails that are asymptotic, that means they approach but never touch the x-axis.

bell shape :--It should be of bell shape in which The center of a normal distribution is located at its peak, and 50% of the data lies above the mean, while 50% lies below.

Discrete :-Since it is contineous So it cant be discrete .

So from the above we can conclued that the charecteristic of a normal distribution is

i)Bell shaped

ii)Contineous

iii)Symmetric

2) given datas

X=284 now we have to find Z score

so from the formula the Z score corresponding to observation X=284 is we have
