ECONOMIC COSTS OF LEGALIZING WEED-

1- A lot of cost has to be spent on the criminal justice system i.e the cost of legalizing weed or marijuana i.e on police stations, courts etc.

2- Cost on the health sector will be increased because of the increased cases of mental illness, accidents, deaths.

3 - Setting up the rehabilitation centers for those who become the addicts of this weed.

4- More costs on the education system to prevent the diversion of the young minds towards this weed.

5- Increased cost for setting up the committees for controlling the increase in crimes in the society.

BENEFITS OF LEGALIZING WEED-

The income of the government from the taxes would drastically increase because of the recreational exposer of the weed.

Since the medical cases will increase hence the income of the government from the medical sector will also increase.

The legalizing of weed will cause a very heavy increase in the sale of weed thus increasing the government revenue by a large amount from the sale of weed.

Since it is also used for some medical purposes hence its demand will increase and ultimately to cover that demand more employment has to be given which will be beneficial for the economy.

Due to the increase in the demand the prices will drop , hence,  individuals utilizing marijuana-based products for medical treatment would stand to benefit considerably from lower prices for these items.
