Name one symptom of each of these two conditions (behavioral evidence) that you would watch for with a friend who was a user.

In terms of the stimulant-depressant continuum, briefly explain the biochemistry involved in producing these behavioral symptoms.

Typically, people don’t set out to become drug addicts. Briefly describe the fairly predictable steps on the descent into drug dependency.

From the Swiss Cheese model of addiction, identify two “risk factors” that could theoretically predispose a person to become addicted to drugs,

From the same model, identify two “protective factors” that may make it likely that a user will stop at some point before becoming fully addicted.

Name one valid argument given in our discussion of addiction that justifies categorizing addiction as a “disease”.

Diagnosis of Drug addiction

Drug addiction usually diagnosed in presence of two conditions that are physological means mental condition and physical conditions.Symtoms seen in mental condition are like persons are not likely to involve in social occupational and other activities. They feel disturbed upto that they want to quit but unable to do so..as in physical condition we observes frequently mood changes ,violent behaviour, sweating ,fatigue, sometimes nausea, after long time addiction person dont looks sober and not likely to cleanliness. If this addiction continues for long time the substance stimulates the brain senses in that way and slowly it changes. Addiction to drug makes person to loss their memory day by day they become judgemental.Descent drug dependency as likely physical dependence on drug and it is more often closely related to addiction. Characteristics related to this are person dont like to communicate with other peoples mostly..they continue to use drugs without being effected by negativity in their personal relationships, physical and mental health, not even worried about their finances. The risk factors according to swiss cheese model of addiction are genes that are present in persons enviornment lifestyle they seen aroung them. And only the protective factors that can make person to stop at some stage are parents involvement with pleasant atmosphere and treatment at earlier as possible.Addiction can be described as disease as it is complex combination of brain and body both are affected at the same time.if nt treated in time it may become fatal and chronic..Aadiction to any drug causes cardiovascular disease, lead to kidney liver damage, stokes, insomnia.this may justifies addiction as disease.

There is something about faces, we can usually identify them very quickly, under many different conditions, however there are known variables which affect this ability. Two conditions “target present” and “target absent” are an important feature of face detection and recognition studies. There is, however, no suggestion that accuracy of identification might vary depending on whether or not the target is available.
