Though there are many similarities between public relations and advertising products like both of them follow promotional strategies and to raise awareness it presents a product in a positive manner and when it reaches to the target audience, it's effects are almost same but it depends on the people belong to different age group, different gender, and different community people. Their interests, likes are also important. There are many differences as well like if we talk about the credibility, then Public relations media is more credible as it comes from an independent source but in the case of advertising media we are aware of the source very well if it is impartial we viewers can get the idea of it so it is generally less credible. Other things like costs which are fixed in the advertisement world, mainly based on the demography but Public relations can not give a guarantee of the fact that a particular amount of money can really help in getting the desired result or not. It is quite unsure about that. We can notice the advertising world has full control over it's message or it has the power to omit any part of the content that is against any policy but public relations in order to get publicity and to get larger audience often they promote limitlessly but if the strategy doesn't go well it can be self-defeating. Advertisers gives direct messages to the consumers while public relations uses many tactics or several ways to give pieces of information to people and in return, they wish to gain desirable coverage.
