Short Answer 250-500 words: Who has done more good for humanity: Bill Gates or Mother Theresa?
Since he created Microsoft, I would say Bill Gates has done more
good than Mother Teresa. Bill Gates has given advantages to
everybody who has used a computer.
We admire Mother Teresa more for her selfless actions, for her
sacrifice, because it's nice to give your life for others. People
despise Bill Gates for his achievements, most people hate him for
following the purpose of his life, for making a profit, for selling
a product that changed life for everyone.
Just know this, all that you have, all the money you have invested, all that you have acquired was made from a capitalist's resources. It was the workers who created it physically, but it was the capitalist who organized the employees, who thought about a way to sell the product, who thought about the logistics of moving the product from one location to another, who thought of how he could make the product better, who thought about how to expand his company to employ more employees and eventually create more jobs. Capitalists are not gods, rulers or kings but neither are they slaves. Working for a loss is not a virtue nor is it sacrificing your hopes and ambitions for others to be able to achieve theirs. It is unfair to view capitalists other than human beings.
–Mother Teresa has won various awards both in India and abroad. For her humanitarian work, she won the Noble Peace Prize, and Bharat Ratna (India's highest civilian award). Gallup polls showed that for a number of years in the 1990's she was the single most admired female in the USA and the most admired female in the 20th century.
