Discuss an issue or point for using and creating Service-Level Requirement (SLR) and service level agreement (SLA)
Answer)
The service level agreement (SLA) is the contract which is made
between the service provider and the end user such that the deal
determines the level of the service which is to be served by the
service provider. The SLAs will be the output based on which the
purpose of the SLA will be to define what the customer will
receive. It may provide a description of the service which is being
provided, the reliability of the service, the responsiveness of the
service etc. Thus in the SLA, the service definitions should be
specific and also it should be measurable in each area.
The Service-Level Requirement (SLR) creation and usage are the
results of fulfilling customer business needs and thus these are
the basis for the service and thus are needed by the customer from
the service provider. Documentation of the customer’s requirements
produces the Service Level Requirement (SLR). The SLR will be the
document which is made which serves as the future source for the
SLA. SLR is described as a service and what the service should
deliver and also what is required by the customer.
