Workplace diversity can be said as understanding, accepting, and valuing differences between people that occur due to reasons like different races, ethnicities, genders, ages, religions, disabilities, and sexual orientations with differences in education, personalities, skill sets, experiences, and knowledge bases.
Inclusiveness is treating everybody with equal consideration. Inclusiveness is the working environment that values the individual and group differences within its workforce. An inclusive workplace is one where diverse or employees from different background feel valued, welcome, integrated and included in the workforce.
Diversity and inclusion are a company's strategy and not only HR's role. Diversity is important towards reaching a competitive advantage. A diverse workforce means a pool of talent. A diverse talent help in better decision making and strategies. Inclusion is all about having balance in the diverse team and this can be attained easily with fair treatment, equal opportunity, teamwork, diversity education and a representative from the diverse field at all levels and departments, creation of behavioral standards , networking within employees, etc. All these will help in inclusive diverse growth.
