Expert Solution

ANSWER 1 :-

  1. Golf is a short which is associated with concentration and patience. Basically, for the athletes, the recommended diet should consistency of low Glycemic index sugars which wouldnt lead to a sudden rise in blood glucose levels.
  2. Now, in case of Golfers, a high-fat diet can be included although the main focus behind Its inclusion is to cut-off the intake of Carbohydrates to maximum level. Basically, these are associated with increasing the body mass leading to irregular or improper functioning of muscles during playing a short like Golf.
  3. Fats on the other hand if are included in high amounts would be converted into fatty acids and ketone bodies. At the same time, if there is no intake of any sugar, the athlete would become dependent on the ketone bodies for yielding energy and this Metabolic pathway enhances the health of the sportsperson. At the same time, there are certain benefits associated with ketones as they tend to inhibit the impact an inflammatory process would have in degenerating the muscles and thus their regulatory potential. This adds up to enhancing the muscle strength and thus activity.
  4. So, involvement of a high-fat along with high-protein diet is essential as it would benefit the Golfer.
