For this discussion, please provide your answer to the following question: Why did the pundits and pollsters get it wrong? How can they do a better job a projecting a campaign winner?

Pundits: These are considered as one of the most famous people or a wise man who offers their opinion to mass media on a particular subject in which they have knowledge.

Pollster: The person that asks opinion of the people on a particular subject to get relevant data. In other words, we can define a pollster as one who conducts polls to collect the data from people and compile to get the final opinion.

Right from the olden day’s people are always very interested to know the opinion on a particular subject or their future. Before starting any new work, like home construction, business, marriage and job etc. people will approach because they believe these pundits give genuine information based on their scientific, astrological and social theories.

The pollsters are one who collects the opinion on a particular subject by approaching huge people. The collected data then performed some analysis and projects data. For example, exits polls who collects information on who are the winners and losers in the elections. Not only in elections, even while passing any law and budget etc.

The pollsters and pundits are get it wrong because there are so many fraud pundits in the society who is doing fraud and fooling people in order to make money. Even the pollsters collect and displays information that is not at all matching or relating to the situation. This is due to improper collection of information through survey and collecting data from unaware and inexperienced people on the particular subject.

They can collect the data from the people who are having knowledge on that particular subject and do a thorough analysis and compiles the data in a right way to release atleast near to the expectations. Even pundits should be more subjective and have deep knowledge on the particular area where they are providing information or opinions to people. Provide information which is near to the real life existence and relate to science because the current generation is always need an explanation.
