An MOA- playa a vital role in assisting the doctor's and communicating with patients.
An MOA- is not a receptionist or secretary but rather a health care profession in an administrative role.
Duties of MOA include Administration,Booking Clerk, Information desk and admissions.
Ethical Standards for Medical Assistants
Render service with full respect for the dignity of humanity.
Respect patient confidentiality. Uphold the honor and high
principles of the medical assisting profession. Seek to continually
improve knowledge and skills for the benefit of patients and
colleagues.
Medical assistants perform many administrative duties, including answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging for hospital admission and laboratory services, and handling billing.
Medical Administration Duties Require Certain Skills:
1 Using Technology. Being able to use technology is an absolute
must.
2. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
3. Organizational Skills.
4. Time Management.
5. Problem Solving Skills.
Strength and Gaps:
1. Medical office assistants must have a keen eye for detail. Their job usually involves detailed bookkeeping. It may also involve some accounting responsibilities, so they must pay especially close attention to details to avoid any clerical errors which may cost either the client or their workplace.
2. As a new medical assistant and will need to learn your clinic’s processes; however, I feel very prepared and confident in the clinical skills I have gained from my externship and coursework.

1. I will pursue Certification courses of Advanced medical officer assistant.
2. Upgrade my self by learning new soft skills on regular basis.
