There are different reasons behind crime. These reasons can be categorized by logically, sociological and psychologically. In most of the cases it appears that biological reason is very important factor behind criminal activities.

It appears that a large number of people suffers from poverty. They do not get the essential things of life. A large number of people suffer from hunger. For their property they cannot buy food because they do not get work for the unemployment. To run the family they need to do criminal activities. Again the sexual urge leads one to do criminal activities. It appears that a large number of convicts are accused of sexual assault and crimes and we find that behind such crime they are biological factors like sexual urge. The hormones like testosterone and cortisol are responsible behind such criminal behaviour and there is abnormal secretion of the hormone and therefore the people fail to control themselves.

It is also true that genetic factor leads one to be antisocial and there are many examples of this type of biological reason. The offsprings of a criminal become criminal very easily as it is a genetic factor.

Social reasons are very common behind the crimes. There are many reasons that bear social backgrounds like politics religion, unemployment, peer pressure, poverty and so on. Sometimes religion encourages one to be criminal and we find that there are many terrorists who are guided by the religious ideas and therefore they kill people. Sometimes family condition leads one to be criminal as family suffers from poverty and the the elders of the family members encourage the youngest to be criminal to run the family. It is surprising enough there are many unnatural social pressures and for these precious one need to do criminal activities. When one finds that his neighbors are rich and he is still a failure and unsuccessful person then he tries to to get money through criminal ways to be rich and to be equal to his neighbors. Unemployment is a major factor behind criminal activities. There are numerous people who are unemployed due to the lack of job. In spite of their degree and skill they do not get proper job according to their quality. Naturally they take the criminal activities in anger and frustration and they are displayed easily because they think that it is not they are fault and it is the fault of their system that leads them to be criminal.

Lack of education and narrow lifestyle can make one criminal. There are many communities where poor people do not get chance to develop themselves through education. They are not introduced with modern civilization and they are ignorant of laws and order. As they bear cultural prejudices they have low self control method and they can be easily misguided by others. As they do not have proper education they I do not know what would be the consequences of breaking the laws and doing the criminal activities.

Behind criminal activity psychological factor is really a major factor and it appears that most of the criminals are psychologically mislead and they have nothing to do as they bear distorted psychological level. Psychological factors include poverty, parental neglect, social depression, peer pressure and so on. The children of the poor family are psychologically weak and they have poor self esteem. They suffer from inferiority problem from their childhood days and they think that only for poverty they never got proper respect in the society. They find that even in the school there is a marked difference between the the poor children and the children of the rich families. They also find how they have been unable to do what they wanted to do. They never experienced good lifestyle and search deprivation leads them to be criminal.

An individual can be abused in many ways. Social abuse may lead one to be criminal. Here he is guided by the feeling of taking revenge for such abusive nature. Again one's culture can make one criminal. There are many  communities where injustice and prejudices are the main elements of culture and for the practice of injustice and prejudice humanity is neglected there. Therefore they wanted to protest against such in wrong culture breaking the laws and they want the establishment of Justice.

Besides it appears that a large number of people have low control over their emotion and they become victim of criminal activities. They have poor self esteem and they cannot tolerate opposition. There are many people who do not like the opposition of others and they have poor cognition and therefore they a become violent very easily. Such poor level of psychological condition is a major reason behind criminal activities.
