Religious and spiritual beliefs and practices are important in the lives of many patients.
For effective therapeutic delivery
Religion & spiritual beliefs play a vital role in the care of the patients.Hence physician are required to understand the beliefs & and faith such patients based on the difference in the communities.
Research reveals that the religious & spiritual beliefs of patients are presented as significant factors in treatment of serious illness.
Hence the advantage of such religous care to the patient is in relation to gain the comfortability of the patient in the therapeutic care plan.
When we consider the beliefs of the patient then he/she feel more participative in the treatment with the discussions to nurses and physicians.
He coperates in the case of complex treatments.
He/she also develop faith in nursing staff and other health care professionals.
On the otherhand the disadvantages of such religuous care are:
there are some hurdles in treatment as the professional concerns.
there may be chance that every hospital organization not allow for the smae.
Physician feel that this practice is supersiding their medical science knowlege.
Patients may take undue advantages of such religious care.
If physician is also actively involved in this heshe may be biased as his/her religious behaviour may be contraint in such religious therapies.
Hence the religious care nased concern is having both the positive and negative impact obn the patient care.'Thus it is advisable that such beliefs should be implemented with utmost care in the helthcare organizations.
