Solutions

Expert Solution

Projects are terminated before they are completed due to following reasons :

a. When the project investor or person quits the project due to which project cannot be carried out as planned or faces financial difficulties.

b. When the similar objectives or results that are been planned by the project has been published by another group making the project work void.

c. When the company is been acquired by another company and they believe the project will need extra work while not worth continuing as it will be waste of money.

It would be wise to terminate the project when :

a. The project is ahead of the time, and the project gets completed before the schedule and it gets handed over to the user or sponsor the project can get terminated.

b. When the review is been carried out, it suggests that the current project will not help to meet the desired objective hence it would be wise to terminate it.
