Answer: The path –goal theory is focused on the leadership behavior or style that can best fit with the work environment and employee characteristics that he handles. It assumes that the leaders should be flexible in their leadership style and behavior and should be able to change them as per the requirement of the situation in order to achieve their goals. Generally the goal of a leader inside the organization is to motivate the employees and make them more productive. For stopping the passive and active aggressive behaviors from senior level to the junior one and in order to prevent them from breaking the morale of the junior level employees, I will introduce them to this theory through a training session. This training session will inform them about the path goal theory and its principle and make them aware about the negative consequences of their aggressive behavior on the morale of the junior level employees. They will be trained in analyzing the environmental and employee characteristics and based on that they will be trained to change their behaviors and avoid the aggressive ones. The senior level managers will consistently be reminded that they need to adjust their leadership styles based on situation and nature of employees rather than using aggressive behaviors. The senior level managers will also be guided through mentorship and leadership workshops based on the path goal theory.
