Human Resource Planning is a continuous process of systematic planning by which a firm ensures that it has the right number and right skills, at the right place, at the right time, competent to effectively and efficiently completing those tasks that will help the organization achieve its overall goals and objectives (Decenzo and Robbins, 2003).
An organization needs people just as they need raw materials and equipment to function efficiently. The organization undertakes human resource planning to enable them to meet their future "people" needs so that it may not face challenges associated with the lack of human resources. The organization considers the number of people and types of skills necessary to support the production, distribution, and marketing of products (Leap and Crino, 1993). The organization achieves these results through proper HRP and as a result, all organization objectives can be achieved. HRP ensures that the right people are recruited on the right job and at the right time. It helps in knowing the current need of the organization and the right way to fulfill these needs with the help of outsourcing.
