Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans : 178.625 kJ

The reaction is

H2O (l) --------> H2 (g) + 1/2O2 (g) : ΔH =285.8kJ/mol

no of mole of O2 produced = 10 / 32 mol

since ,when 0.5 mole O2 produce from water then 285.8kJ energy was required

so, 10/32 mole O2 produced from water require =285.8/0.5 x10/32 kJ

= 178.625 kJ
