small company that is growing and requires better control of the inventory so that they

can excel in customer fulfillment and satisfaction.

Without worrying about the actual location of the facility or the number of products, what

tools or information would you use/examine to develop a plan to assist the company in

achieving its goal of excellent customer fulfillment and service?

There are various parameters.
1. What is the strategy of the company?
2. What are the core competencies?
3. Where do we want to position are company?
4. Can we deploy or products on daily basis(Since distance is not a problem here)
this will help us get daily forcast.
5. Having accurate forecast will help cut down an additional excess inventory.
6. help our retail stores to not keep excess of product only keep as much required since we are offering them products on daily basis.
7. Provide a contract so that reatilers don't under report sales.
8. If possible we can give them a contract that if not sold we will buyback the products.
9. if don't do this each time we launch a new product our own previous products are undersold by the retailers which puts presuure on the company to again lauch products in new segment.
Some tools/ software that will help you intergrate with retailers and know daily customer demand would be suffice to reduce for excess inventory to Zero.
