For any kind of organization, the most important asset is the human asset. Managing the diverse mindsets of employees and aligning them towards the business orientation of organization is one critical aspect of HRD. The HRD must have a functional structure in the company where different core HR functions are given proper representation.

Strategic human resource planning, also known as manpower planning, is the process of understanding the current and future requirement of manpower in any organization and to devise a strategy to fulfill the gap. This planning includes the practice of recruitment and retention of employees in any organization. HRD must incorporate hiring practices to hire the best P-O fit.

One of the major aspects that influence the growth and expansion of a company is the receptiveness of the resources to such a change. All the resources involved must be ready to accept and respond to such a major change as the expansion of business. The most critical resource whose positive receptiveness is most critical is the human resource. All employees must understand the cause of the change, the reason behind the change and the course of action that they need to take to respond to such a change, and then only a change can be smoothly accepted in the organization.

HRD must aim at including analytics in their critical processes and represent their proposals with factual data and reports. This way the effectiveness and efficiency of Human Resources can be established in business and the HRD can get a strategic position in the decision board of the company.
