Describe three specific differences in nonverbal behaviors and explain how they might cause problems in international business negotiations.

Non verbal behaviors can have various cultural aspects, here, people not only depend on the words for communication purpose, people also consider several way to send message or to receive the message. It could be highly essential to understand and we should be building appropriate response for a situation like when we are working in international workplace. There are countries like Japan, China, India, Arab, Africa consider high context culture, high context culture purely focused on non verbal behaviors. Here, people look at the way, build relationship to send and receive message. However, countries like Switzerland, America, and German usually focused on low context culture. They rely on words rather than non verbal communication. Now let me explain about several differences related to non verbal behaviors or communications, these are as stated below:
International business negotiations involve several people, here; people have different culture, their views, they have different believe, so non verbal communication takes important role in such context. Problem could happen due to use of non verbal behaviors in international setup or business negotiations. For example: there are several religious countries. They always keep their religious believe in the workplace, in such situation, outsider or foreign people need to intensify their non verbal behaviors, if they don’t use such non verbal behavior in appropriate way, then problem may occur. Let’s say if foreign people don’t do greeting to the other people with different culture, they put their gloomy face, if they don’t keep eye contact, then business negotiations could be going into hell. Even after long writing and oral communication, business negotiation will not take place, as they don’t build relationship, they don’t greet each other. So, in the international framework or business setting, nonverbal communications are used in diplomatic sense that can extend better relationship that can open new deal or extend existing deal. Many people and countries don’t want to compromise with their believe and traditional culture, hence, foreign people should keep respect towards the same to avoid such problem.
