Introduction- The SEI methods used to teach English as the second language in Native English countries, it was proposed in 1983. Here are some SEI strategies for English learners.
1-Provide comprehensive input: The learner must understand the message that is conveyed. The comprehensive input are important to understand the mean behind word in actual terms.
2-Visualiazation: The teacher must use visual presentation of new vocabulary and use graphs, maps, charts to introduce new concepts. Describe the story given in textbook with the help of visual representation.
3- Information linking: The link of new information from prior knowledge to new knowledge brings the interest during classroom teaching, a teacher should use learner’s knowledge to teach them new concepts.
4- Outlining of Key Concepts: The Teacher must outline the key concepts and describe them carefully to connect with students, key concepts are very important for the learners to understand the language in easy way.
5-Cooprative learning: The teacher should help learners to help each other, working in a small groups is beneficial for both, learners and teachers. The teacher must provide projects in groups and monitor their work.
6- Practice: Practice is a key factor to understand and learn new concepts, words and pronunciation, a teacher should help student to prepare practical environment to use language.
These strategies are effective if teacher use them in comprehensive perspectives, language learning is very interesting task, and the teacher can use TLM to enhance their effectiveness and capacity. Cultural differences plays important role during learning so that teacher must aware to culture, traditions and other aspects of cultural identities.
