Expert Solution

When there is a transition from one country to another, it brings a lot of psycho-social changes in the minds of children. This is because of the wide array of changes that they are suddenly introduced to and are expected to follow and adjust with. Moreover, the physical changes such as moving to a new house, society, weather, etc also impacts the minds of young children.

As an educator :

  • the child's parents could be made aware of the school's culture and what the school expects from parents.
  • Community events could be held in schools so that students from different communities feel included.
  • The children should be given opportunities to speak up about their transition and they should be given a patient listening so that they feel involved in the new structure.
  • Moreover, some children might find it very difficult to adjust to the new situations and for them, a counsellor should be referred to.
  • Introverts should be spoken with a lot of care for they find it most difficult to open up easily.
