Comment on the following statement: "Ultimately, the high cost of marketing is due only to consumers." Please bold the key concept you are discussing from the textbook and include a page reference.
I believe that organizations today can no longer rely or bank on the effectiveness and quality of a product, rather because of the high level of competition it is difficult for organizations to make a product introduce and successful in the market without proper marketing techniques and strategy hence organizations before introduction of any product or services needs to formulate a marketing strategy that helps the organization to make the target audience aware of the product and details regarding the product. I believe that without marketing today it is almost impossible for organizations to cope with the demand of the market and therefore organizations need to plan accordingly.
Marketing is involved with a cost to the organization and the cost is not that a small amount, instead it is a percentage of the total cost that organizations consider while planning and creating the budget of the organization and it's opeartions. The organizations n order to compensate this cost incurred they actually make it a point to retrieve it from customers and hence the price of the product or service go up to some extent and hence the statement can be justified the high cost if marketing is due only to consumers.
