what are the building blocks of the rocket model of leadership
Rocket Model can be seen as a framework and combination of various methods which can be used for the improvement of team performance. It is a useful tool for the analysis of team dynamics and facilitating some specific methods and tools to the leaders to improve the team performance.
The model was the result of questions and requests which were made by the managers working in the different organizations and who were facing the problem of changing the individual into an effective team.
The main elements of this model are as below:-
1:- the critical assumption of the team:- If the team has a common view, it will perform better
2:- Team Mission:- It is important to describe the mission to the team members i.e. to explain why the team members are there in the team.
3:- Talent in the team:- the managers must focus on the requirement of talent in the team and then they must start looking for the employees with the required talents.
4:- Formation of rules:- Once the team is formed, all the rules and regulations must be framed and communicated to the team members.
5:- Commitment:- The manager must ensure that the commitment of all the team members remains always high
6:- Availability of resources:- For better team performance, the resource availability of the basic requirement
7:- Dealing with disagreement:- Proper discussion must be made in case of disagreement and solutions muse be found out
8:- Accomplishment of results:- The team manager must evaluate the level to which team is able to accomplish its results.
