Black activist in Latin America are confronted with the narrative that the national framework is more important than racial identity . How does this impact black or African lives in America
This type of narrative is going to slow down the work done by black activists in the America as these activists are forced to go for the national development, national identity or national character, rather exclusively working for the black people in the region. It means that there will be relatively lesser attention upon the specific problems faced by the black or African people in the America and it will be thinly covered under the name of national narrative. It will put these black or African people behind others such as white Americans and economic divide, educational divide and uneven resource allocation will increase. Despite these inequalities, black activists will be forced to go for the national issues, rather going for the issues faced by black people. It will negatively affect the leadership that was working for the black lives and struggle of black or African people will continue for few more years without any significant hope of getting better lives in their own country.
