The same organizations that contacted our consulting firm with questions regarding leaders now have another question. Their leaders are not just concerned about the accuracy of their decisions when deciding among autocratic, consultative, facilitative and delegative styles. They’re also concerned about the efficient use of time. Write a memo describing which types of leadership styles should be used when. What guidelines should leaders employ when deciding which style to employ?

Leaders are attentive and delicate people; they identify success in a team. They understand their team and develop related confidence. Leadership includes inspiring others toward the accomplishment of organizational goals. Efficient leadership requires the manager to encourage subordinates, communicate successfully, and well use of the power. If they are effective leaders, their subordinates will be ready to exert effort toward the attainment of organizational goals in simple Leading through vision and values. The additional 4 roles of leadership are;
1.Supporting continuous improvement
2. Constructing business partners i.e. both internal, external.
3.Simplified learning.

A leader has different Decision-making styles and how they decide on which style to which employee; they are
1. Autocratic style
2. Consultative style
3. Facilitative style
4. Delegated style.

  1. Consultative style: The leader introduces the problem to single employees or a group of employees, inviting for their opinions and recommendations before finally making the decision himself. Employees have a chance to express their views in the process, but the ultimate power still remains with the leader.

2. Autocratic style- The leader alone makes this decision without enquiring the thoughts or ideas of the employees in the team, Employees may specify information of the leader needs but are not questioned to produce or assess potential solutions

3.Facilitative style: In this style` leader discloses the problem to a unit of employees and seeks settlement for the problem in this the decision he takes has no more influence than anyone else's in this scenario a leader is more an implementer than concluder.

4. Deliberation style: The leader gives an employee or a group of employees the duty of constructing the decision within some set of conditions. The leader plays no role in this style unless requested, though he may offer inspiration or help and provide needed resources behind.
