(Answer) In the play “Romeo and Juliet,” written by William Shakespeare, a man and a woman from opposing communities fall in love. This results in the personal connection they share, to become quite public. Furthermore, their love succumbs to this public interference and Juliet dies as a result of it.
In the scenes where Romeo and Juliet express their love for each other, it is described as something quite involuntary. Almost as involuntary as a sneeze, they loved each other inherently. This would equate their emotions to a natural stimulus. On the other hand, the opposing communities in the film are man-made boundaries that are taken a lot more seriously than the natural union of love.
We see this similar theme in the film “A United Kingdom.” This film is based on the true story of a young king from Botswana land who married a white English woman. This was at the time when the British Empire in Botswana had begun to gradually pull away and terminate their colony.
In a similar way to Romeo and Juliet, the people of Botswana land do not accept their new queen because of man-made divisions and barriers. All of this while ignoring the natural emotion of love.
