Building procurement process is the process of purchasing goods and services. There are many different routes by which the design and construction of a building can be procured. The selected route should follow a strategy which fits the long-term objectives of the client’s business plan.
Considerations are likely to include are speed, cost, quality, specific project constraints, risk, Asset ownership, Financing Etc.
In simple terms we can tell it as a strategy to satisfy client’s development and operational needs with respect to the provision of constructed facilities for a discrete life cycle. The main steps which are included in this process are

Establishing the contract price.
Economic considerations (Labour, Materials, plants, capital)
The formal building procurement process includes the flowing steps
1.Client (private public developer) who intends to build a building.
2.Plan and blue print (architects, structural engineers, service engineers) for plan and blue print feasibility study, design and cost estimation also include.
3.Approval for the building from the city planners building regulators.
4.Tendering which leads to evaluate tender and select contractor then after contracting and construction.
5.At last completion and handover of the building.
