  • One part of sustainability is the creation of green jobs. A lot of programs are starting to emerge that have initiatives, for example, such as summer jobs for urban youth that have an eco friendly focus. The growth of the the green employment sector also spurs economic sustainability, another benefit for future generations.
  • Colleges are increasingly designing academic programs that teach core sustainability ideas in a variety of disciplines - architecture, business, environment etc. to promoting innovative research program that strive to expand current ideas as we know them.
  • Decentralized infrastructures are small-scale systems that are used locally available water and renewable energy resources to the extent possible. Decentralized infrastructures do preserve natural resources, complement conventional large-scale centralized systems or replace them where appropriate.
  • Innovation in terms of delivery models and technology mean is bringing the goal of healthy living for all within sight. Business models based on public-private cooperation unlock crucial investment without the need for massive infrastructure investment; meanwhile, telemedicine, precision medicine and other advances are bringing dramatic improvements in terms of effectiveness and cost.
