Meaning of Medicaid :- Medicaid is a federal and state program in the US which provide help with medical expenses for those people who have limited income resources.
Difference between the State and Federal Role as it pertains to Medicaid :-
1. Federal government plans for requirements for medicaid
coverage for people whereas State Government follow the rules set
by federal government.
2. Federal Government makes general rules and regulations for
eligible persons. whereas State Government makes opertaional
decisions that determine who is eligible for medicaid.
3. Federal Government grants the budget to state government for
Medicaid program whereas While State government distribute the
medical allowances to the eligible person.In the US, health
insurance marketplaces,also called health exchanges, are
institutions in each state through which people can buy health
insurance.
State-based health insurance is depleted via state health insurance
exchanges. A state-based health insurance exchange is an insurance
marketplace where the state grants the infrastructure, the website,
and the customer support for individuals and small businesses to
buy state based plans.
