Was the replacement of NAFTA with USMCA good for the american consumer?
It can actually be mentioned that replacing NAFTA with that of USMCA is something that is agreed upon by the highest interest with that of United States and in one way you can understand that this is actually better off for the United States people but not the customer itself and this is because of the fact that the latest USMCA provisions include certain clauses which increases the minimum wage of the Mexican workers as a result of which more American jobs will not be lost to that of Mexican jobs as a result of which it is important to understand the unemployment rate can reduce in United States on the whole. Also increasing the content requirements for the trade to happen can reduce the dumping by other countries via Mexico and Canada as a result of which the domestic companies can increase their sales level. Therefore Uniited States economic condition will be better off but due to increase in wages and reduction in trade what happens is that the prices domestically increase so that the consumers can actually buy less and in this way the consumer might not be better off .
