(TCO A) Your company has just purchased an adjoining building. Its first initiative is to build a childcare center on the ground floor. As human resources manager, you have been given the task of inviting affected employees to a meeting to help plan the new center. First you have to analyze your audience. Who is your target audience? What is your relationship with the audience? How will the audience likely react? What does the audience already know? What is unique about the audience?

When it comes to the key stakeholder with respect to the decision that has been made about building a childcare center on the ground floor, we have to look at everyone who will be involved. The first would be the increased workforce from a HR manager point of view and therefore recruitment, through we would be starting off with the current workforce and especially the experts already in the organisation, and then in phase wise manner we would be adding in the workforce to cater to the needs of the new facility.

First of all, we are looking at audience, and we can look at this aspect in 2 key facets, one would be with respect to the customers that as a business we would be catering to and the other would be with respect to the audience for the HR department, that is the kind of workforce that we as a company would be attracting into the company.

As an HR manager, my first task would be to look at the right fit candidates who are willing to join the organisation for a challenging work, and as it is a new facility all together, it would be ideal to employ people who love to work in a startup like environment and are willing to take the step forward and dedicate themselves to cater to a new born business and are with the same business during the phase of growth modelling it into a full fledged revenue center. For the service to be offered we are looking at people who have prior experience, and infact we are looking a childcare doctors to aid the staff in providing the worldclass and best service to the customers.

But as a business if we look at the childcare center that we are about to commission in the near future, we have to look at few key aspects about the audience we are catering to. Our target audience would be the people who are working, in specific, we are looking at working mothers. The existing relationship would not matter that much as it is a different and relatively new form of service that we as an organisation are offering. Audience would definitely be delighted about the idea of childcare facility, especially with the increase in the women in the workforce, there is a need for such a facility who can take care of their children during work and at the same time if such a facility is offered by renowned brand then it would be a boon for the audience. The audience is already aware of unorganised business service in the form of crèche, but it would be different in our case as it is being offered by someone they already know and also is being done in a professional manner. The unique thing about the audience is the fact that they are definitely working and are the ones who want to go the extra mile to take care of their children alongside ensuring safety, a learning environment, and proper surroundings with other children around and overall enriching upgrowth of their children.
