1) Role of employee motivation in an office environment

There are three levels of management in an Organization. Top level, middle level and lower level.
The success of an Organization depends not only on the top level management, but also on the middle and lower level Management which includes the employees. It is always necessary to keep the workers motivated towards achieving the goals of the Organization.


Motivation is very important in an Organization as it determines the performance of the department as well as the Organization. Motivation allows the management to meet the goals of the Organization. The productivity of the employees increases. It also helps in utilisation of resources such as money, time , human resources ( included skills, knowledge, talents etc. of an individual) without wastage. The commitment of an employee towards the Organization improves. All individuals work so as to achieve their personal goals along with organisational goals. A motivated employee performs his tasks efficiently and hence he is more satisfied with his job as well as the Organization.


Motivating skill is an important skill required by the managers which focuses on encouraging the subordinates. Managers can use positive motivational techniques such as giving awards, praises, improved communication, valuing individual contributions, providing a better working environment etc.
Any sort of positive gesture towards an individual can be inspiring and motivating and it helps him to bring out the best in him, eventually leading to the success of both Organization and himself.

2) Methods of managing stress for an effective workforce

Over stress in workplace is an ill effect of today's world, thanks to the cobwebs that are encircled around the concept of productivity, revenue and targets. Employers want their job to be finished by the employees as soon as possible. They want the employees to work more as they often neglects the factor of mental health.

Mental health is an effective and most important tool that boost productivity of an employee but it rather goes unattended. There are efficient ways to manage mental health well by reducing stress. People often have different types of stress that are related to family, personal issues, financial matters, target stress in work, etc. In order to sideline all these, effect community building measures have to be undertaken by the company management. And these measures have to take place often. Community participated group games can better empower team spirit among the workers and solo activities can foster leadership skills.

Yoga and meditation activities can be done to release tension and smoothens the mind. Better nutri-content food/snacks must be provided to enrich the person. A well behaved personality trainer can be used nowadays for coaching the employees to learn nee habits and to remove inhibitions.

All these activities along with increasing a salary hike can make their working time stress free as financial credentials always causes problems.
