We are required to do only 4 parts of a question.
1. Department Store
These are Large retail establishment with an large variety of products which are organized in separate sections with similar products in same section or category. All sections are managed in under the same roof with functions like buying, customer service, merchandising, and control.
2. Supermarket
It is a self-service retail market with higher product quantity and range and larger area than the department store. A supermarket has higher variety of foods and household merchandise. Also pricing strategy is more competitive than departmental store.
3. Warehouse Retailer
Warehouse retailer sells large quantities of products such as groceries, hardware, home furnishing, over-the-counter drugs, toiletries, etc at a cheaper rate than the supermarket or department store in form of heavy discounts. The customer services offered are minimal or none.
4. Specialty Retailer
specialty retailer concentrate on selling a particular type of goods to a particular clientele. They sell a diverse collection took in the particular product category with premium pricing strategy and higher service quality and expert guidance to shoppers.
For example, video tapes stores, bagels, or leather goods.
5. E-tailer
E-tailer stands for electronic retailer where products are sold online on specific websites. These websites may offer a particular product category like special retailers or large collection like department stores. The products are sent to customers’ home and with no physical interaction with customer while ordering or selecting the product.
