Using a minimum of 250 words, discuss Kepler's laws of planetary motion. How do these laws apply when precisely placing sattelites into orbit? Explain how these calculations are made using sample equations.
Please answer all aspects of question for a thumbs up! Simply copying and pasting Kepler's laws of motion will not suffice!
For finding how kepler laws are helpful to place satellite into
orbit, first of all we have to understand the three laws.
Each law has its own significance.
FIrst law - According to first law all the planets
moves in a elliptical orbit around the sun where sun is at one of
the foci.
Now from this law we have focus of our orbit it means we take sun
as our reference while placing the satellite in an orbit.
Now the
Second Law - According to second law the vector
joining the satellite to the sun sweeps equal area in equal
interval of time i.e its velocity is constant.
Now this Law will help in calculation of time period.
For exammple if we want that our satellite will make three
revolution in a day then we can calculate the angular velocity of
our satellite.
Now the
Third law - According to this law we have relation
between Radius of orbit and the time period.
i.e
Where T is time period and R is radius.
Now we can meausre the radius of orbit of our satellite.
Now looking them all from second law we have time , from third law
we have radius of our orbit and from first law we can place it in
space.
So in this way with the help of all three law we can place a
satellite in space.
