describe a detailed overview of the service levels of water in middle income areas. (answer should be typed please)
In medium income areas service level of water are purely based on availability and ease with which water can be drawn from source and areas nearby to water treatment plant then via mean of feeder main to reservoir or over head tank. From there it is supplied to consumer through distribution system.
The distribution system consists on long network of pipelines connecting household facilities and other institutions which are nearby in the vicinity.
The complete process involves drawing of water from a source like river, pond, lake, or some artificial structure like weir or dam with the help of intake well. Then this water simply called Raw water in engineering term is transported through pipelines or channel called Raw water rising main to the water treatment plant. The treatment plant consists of a structure primarily to remove impurities from water such as sediments, suspended and some part of dissolved solids and other organic impurities like pathogenic bacteria, amoeba etc. which may cause harm to human health.
The processes involved in water treatment plant are sedimentation, filtertion, aeration, disinfection etc.
Then this treated water is supplied to some storage unit such as a reservoir or overhead tank. Sometimes it is directly supplied to consumers by pumping systems but this is rare.
After reaching the reservoir or Overhead tank the water is supplied to consumers directly via distribution system.
This is complete overview of water supply in a medium town/city or in a medium income group loaction.
