How do schools “reproduce and perpetuate social stratification”? If you had the power and desire to use the school system to reduce inequality, what policies would you implement? What do you think the chances are of your policies actually being put into place? Why?
schools “reproduce and perpetuate social stratification”. There is many reasons of this and I also experience this thing in school.
* Class and status :- I always see the behaviour of some teachers is changed accoding to the financial condition, class and status of the child. Whatever the rich child is aggressive and not good in studies, but teachers behave very good with them.
* Marks :- Some teachers are very awkward, who divides the child according to their marks. Teacher behave rude with the child who get less marks or not good in studies but that not tells the talent of the child.but teachers are very good with the child who get good marks.
These things also affects on the minds of the child in their childhood which is not good for future youth. Because they are the future of the country.
If I had the power and desire to use the school system to reduce inequality, I would implement the policy in which I will focus on the teacher because most of the time the inequality comes from how the teacher treat students.
So, I make the strict rules for the teachers who divides the children, so those teacher who do this, there will be only two option for that, first is warning then fIred from job.
And every students have right to complaint of teacher, whoever the child is with good marks or bad marks, high class or low class. Every one have the right to treat equally.
Yes, the chances are of my policies actually being put into place because if the policies is strictly followed that if the awareness given to everyone or every class of the child that they don't have to afraid. So this policy will work. Their will no other chance given to teachers for their misbehave or inequality.
