Explain with the diagram the structure and theory of the work of a three-phase electric generator, specifying the function of each part ؟؟
Structural Diagram:
Working principle of three-phase generator:
A three-phase generator works on the principle of electromagnetic induction i,e. whenever a conductor is placed in a moving magnetic field an emf is generated in it. The rotor will generate a rotating magnetic field and this rotating magnetic filed will cut the armature conductors then emf is induced in the armature.
The function of each Part:
Yoke:
The functions of the yoke are to hold and protect the internal parts of the generator. It will hold the armature and protects the overall generator from mechanical damages.
Stator Frame:
Stator frame will hold the armature winding. This will have the armature slots and armature winding. In these slots, armature winding is placed.
Armature Winding:
These windings will have conductors and whenever these conductors are under moving electromagnetic field, they will generate electromotive force in them.
Rotor Frame:
The function of the rotor frame is to hold the field winding and the field poles. This frame rotates with a speed called synchronous speed.
Field Winding:
The field winding is used to generate the electromagnetic field. This field winding is wound on the rotor frame and the produced eelecttromagnetic fiel will rotate along the frame with synchronous speed.
