Dysfunctional School system
A dysfunctional school system refers to a school where educators, teachers and management are highly qualified but unable to work as the professional for the school. This kind of unprofessional behavior can leads to a Dysfunctional school system. They lose interest to visit the school.
The management of the school is highly responsible for the dysfunctional system of the school. They do not try to accomplish the actual purpose of the school. There are some other conditions which are highly responsible for a dysfunctional school.
The factors behind a Dysfunctional school system
School Climate
According to Uline, the school's climate has a great influence in a dysfunctional school. A healthy school climate helps to motivate the learners and teachers. In other hand if the school climate is not enough good or professional then teachers and students both lose interest to visit the school.(Hanushek and Woessmann,2013)
Learning Method
Sometimes a school only focuses in the Scientific studies. This can compared as mind is a vessel to fill with gained knowledge. Sometimes using scientific process during the explaination causes the monotony or boredom for the student and the learning process becomes unnatural. In this kind of learning method students lose the interest in learning from the school.
Over Competition
Sometimes school organization encourage the competition between the students and forget about actual learning of the students. The school sets a bell-Curving grade system, in which if you get a good pass mark you are brilliant, in other hand if you are not able to achive the pass grade you are loser.(Scott and Davis, 2015)
This kind of over competition is the cause of a dysfunctional school system.
Poor Management
The another major cause behind a dysfunctional school system is the poor management. If the staffs like teachers, Principles and others are not enough professional then the school's system will be damaged. In a dysfunctional school system, teachers are highly educated but not really aware about their duties in the school.(Ainscow, 2015)
