Many would consider it ironic that men are more likely than women to feel comfortable about having casual sex with multiple partners and yet at the same time more likely to feel angry and jealous if a mate has sex with someone else. How might evolutionary psychology explain these gender differences? What are the strengths and weaknesses of this evolutionary explanation?

According to evolutionary perspective,men tend to be more promisucous than women.This perspective explains that men are thought to be more willing to engage in casual sex than women because they can greatly increase their reproductive output by engaging in such an act, whereas females tend to benefit more from being picky due to the demands of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Since women are considered to be bearing a child for nine months,and that should be her sole purpose,according to the gender differences that exist,they look for a supportive father who would take care of their child.
And men are concerned about their child having their own genes,which is why they feel jealous when a women engages in casual sex and if she is impregnated by someone else,this threatens the man's masculinity and makes female incapable for carrying his genes.
Males tend to be more physically attracted to other women and especially younger to them,since they signal high fertility and good physical health.
Men also do not get emotionally attached to a sexual interaction,for them its just for pleasure,whereas women are more emotional.
Also,men feel jealous when women engage in casual sex with multiple partners,because of the engrained gender differences we have been seeing.The evolutionary perspective highlights the male domination and superiority over females,and this culminating into a toxic masculinity mentality making them more jelaous and aggressive when they see their own partner engaging in casual sex.
The cultural factors are ignored by the evolutionary perspective which is why it is not able to explaing the changing behavioural trends about gender diffferences.
