The method of implementing the Project management task is entirely different in the US and Brazil due to the cultural differences. So the immediate difference a US project manager finds in Brazil are given below.

(1) In Brazil the hierarchy system is not that prevalent in a company. But it is just opposite in the United States where a higher authority posses much control over the subordinates.

(2) Due to the uncertainty avoidance culture in Brazil they take more time in making decisions they are no sure about. In the United States, it is not a problem to take calculated risks without any delay.

(3) Brazilians value interpersonal relationships and trust.  The United States gives importance to materialistic achievements and values time.

(4) Brazilian culture is based on Collectivism which beliefs in teamwork. In the United States, Individualistic culture is prevalent.

(5) Brazilians like to be Polychronic that means doing multiple tasks at a time and the US prefers the more determined, Monochronic way.

(6) Brazil has a high context culture and the United States has a Low context culture that relies on explicit communication.
