What is your understanding about Gender Dysphoria and transsexuality? Provide an example of each. Has this understanding change or changed your attitude, perceptions, or views about these gender roles? Why or why not? Can you think of ways in which you encourage social influences that impact the development of gender orientation from early childhood? Would you dress a little boy in a pink shirt? How do you think cartoons and movies impact gender stereotypes? What dilemmas do parents of intersex individuals face? What does "gender neutral" mean?
General Dysphoria refers to dissatisfaction of a person with one's natural gender. Transsexuals are people who had changed their identity to the opposite gender of their natural gender. For example:if a person has grender dysphoria, he becomes transsexual. Yes, this understanding has changed my attitude towards general roles because ultimately a person's satisfation with their orientation is the most important factor. Yes I would dress a little boy in pink shirt because gender roles should not be generalised. Movies show gender specific roles, like a woman has to cook or a man has to go for work and this affects mentality of people and it has made people discriminatory. Parents of intersex individuals face problems due to stigma associated with it in society. The face problems as they could be new to this.Gender neutrality refers to non-discrimination of genders. Men take women's roles and women take men's roles.
