Explain and give examples for the four I’s of transformational leadership. Must all four factors be present for someone to be transformational?
The four I's of transformational leadership covers the four distinctive behaviours. This includes inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence and individualized consideration. Transformation leaders are usually the leaders who influences the followed through behaviour and insipire them to do things more than their expectations. Inspirational motivation is where the leader constantly motivate their followers through inspirational words, giving them directional approach. Iidealizied influence is where the leader act as a rolemodel and thereby influence followers. Intellectual stimulation focus on creative, innovative and new ideas . Individualized consideration is the level of understanding and mentoring individuals seperately.An ideal transformational leaders should have a right mix of all the major 4Is and it's not necessary that all distinct charectertics should be necessary for a leader to become transformational leader.
