Some of the major discriminations at workplace and corresponding defense of the organization are:

• At the time of appraisal the high performing employees at times are not given more pay hike and this is a major discrimination and organization say that the employees who have got more pay hike have contributed more in holistic development of the organization through effective display of attitude, behavior, skillset and new learning and not only performance as pay hike is always given on holistic terms and not on only performance.
• Leaves are at times given to those employees who are in good books of managers and this discrimination is usually seen in almost all work places. The organization defense for this is that the dependency of the employees who are being given leaves is much lesser than those who are not and hence it is not difficult to give them leaves.
• Gender based discrimination is also seen at workplaces wherein female employees are not offered higher positions and male employees are usually promoted and the defense from the organization is that male employees can devote much more time for work which is essential for   higher roles.
