I would take up famous bollywood movie of Amitabh Bachchan know as Abiman,in the same movie his wife is playing role as hetoin Jaya Bachchan.

In the movie it is shown that Amitabh is a famous singer, his songs are heard by everyone on the radio. Jaya Bachchan is somewhere in a village, she is also a happy girl simple by nature. She also likes his songs. One day he visits her village and listens to Jaya while she is singing by doing housework.

He decides to marry her. So in later part it is shown that they are married and are happy. Amitabh decides to give exposure to her voice. And hence he makes her sing on radio, in parties etc. Soon she gains popularity, people start asking for her rather than Amitabh. Amitabh becomes jealous because of this and starts avoiding her. She on the other hand being a simple girl has no clue as in why Amitabh is getting away from her. It is shown that his friends try to convince him but his make ego is too much. Tired of all these Jaya leaves the house and she is pregnant, but due to all the sadness, she can not give birth she has a miscarriage. Thereafter Jaya returns to her father's place and goes into depression.

When Amitabh realizes her value because she is away,he goes after her and tries to convince but she is no where in the mood listen. Later somehow in all sadness she come home. It will send shown that he starts singing that song again in a concert, there she breaks down and has tears in her eyes. He asks her to join him later for duet. She joins him and There after they start living together once again.

This is all about ego problem which a man has and how he expects his wife to be. How the male ego comes in between when people start asking for Jaya's voice over to Amitabh's voice.
